Share (stock) शेयर (स्टॉक)
A unit of ownership in a company. Holding shares makes you a part-owner.

How it is used in the lessons
A stock market is a marketplace where companies sell small pieces of ownership, called shares, and where people then buy and sell those shares with each other.
Exchanges limit how far a single stock can move in one day so that panic or manipulation cannot move prices without control.
Over time, the asset that grew most becomes a larger share of your portfolio, which raises your risk without you deciding it.
